Rumor – In celebration of the 80th anniversary, Toyota will give a Corolla to all people who enter a website and share a link with friends on WhatsApp.

This time, the guys took it hard. There were many times that we denied false promotions on WhatsApp that promised cell phones, home appliances and even “1000 REAL”. Only this time, the promise reached a “different level”.

According to a message circulating on WhatsApp, Toyota is giving a Corolla to everyone who signs on to a website and shares a link with friends on WhatsApp. “Commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Toyota Motor. Toyota celebrates 80th anniversary and gives a Corolla to anyone who shares a link?

The only good news is that, due to the amount of shares we saw on the internet, it is possible to come to the conclusion that there are many people who believe in the goodness of others. And for these people, we have very bad news. Not only is Toyota not giving a Corolla to anyone who shares a link on WhatsApp, but it is also a rumor already denied here.

A few days ago, we denied a false promotion “a little bit” more palatable about Toyota. At the time, it was said that the company would be giving a smartphone to people. Another difference is in the supposed “anniversary”. At the time, it was said that Toyota would be 100 years old. Remember what we wrote at the time (we adapted only a few details):

In reality, the ad in question is a new version of a type of fake news that has been recurring in the last few days: that of the false promotion that asks for sharing on WhatsApp (we even deal with that in this special text).

After receiving this type of fake, we kill the riddle of what is the goal of these scammers in particular. In the case of these “promotions” that are being served on Chinese domain sites, standard questions (including repeated translation errors), request for sharing and “registration” (we have examples using the name of Amazon, Renner, Skol and others companies), the objective is to profit from registration on a trading investment platform (in other words, stock exchange casino).

We don’t know that the profits are limited to the registration itself (most likely, the scammers are profiting from referral payment programs) or if the site in question is fake and can also steal data. Regardless, our advice is that you do not enter these sites, do not share the link with friends and do not register at all.

It is worth pointing out that even Toyota is completing 100 years in 2021. The Japanese car manufacturer was founded in 1937. In other words, this year, it is completing “only” 74 years. It goes without saying that, when searching for more information in relation to this award distribution action, we found nothing but the text of the rumor itself.

In short: the story that points out that Toyota is giving a Corolla to people who enter a website and share a link with friends on WhatsApp is false. Nor is the company giving the “treat” nor is it 100 years old.
